Learning through challenges
For Mousumi, joining Pure Salmon Technology was an opportunity to work on exciting projects while continuing to develop both her technical skills and leadership abilities. With a background in mechanical engineering, process engineering and project management, she was attracted by the company’s role as a global technology provider within aquaculture and the opportunity to work on projects for some of the world’s leading salmon producers.
“I have the opportunity to work closely with contracts, communication and problem-solving, which makes every day both varied and educational. I continuously develop skills in areas such as conflict management, troubleshooting and critical thinking.”
One of the things she values most about Pure Salmon Technology is the working environment. “The colleagues are welcoming, collaborative and supportive. Even though I joined recently, I quickly felt like part of the team. A good working environment is important, especially when you spend a large part of your day at work.”
Looking ahead, Mousumi sees significant opportunities for the aquaculture industry. “RAS technology will play a key role in ensuring sustainable production and good fish health. At the same time, the industry will need to continue improving resource efficiency and production processes.”
Over the coming year, she hopes to help establish effective and structured warranty management processes while contributing to the company’s vision and identifying areas for improvement. “I want to use my experience to identify improvement opportunities and help find solutions that optimise fish production.”
