For Mohammed, joining Pure Salmon Technology was an opportunity to become part of an ambitious company where innovation, sustainability and international collaboration come together.
With a background in Learning & Development, training and organisational capability building, he was drawn to the opportunity to help develop people while supporting a growing global organisation. “I’ve always enjoyed working in environments where people are building something ambitious. The combination of innovation, sustainability and developing large-scale aquaculture operations across different countries was exciting from the start.”
The most rewarding part of his role is helping colleagues grow and succeed. “Whether it’s supporting a new employee during onboarding or developing training programmes, I enjoy seeing people gain confidence and develop their skills. Knowing that learning can have a real impact on both individual careers and company performance is very rewarding.”
He describes the working environment as international, collaborative and full of opportunities to learn. “We work with colleagues from different backgrounds and cultures, which brings different perspectives to the table. People are willing to help each other, and there is a strong sense that we’re all working towards a shared goal.”
Looking ahead, Mohammed believes people will continue to be one of the industry’s greatest strengths. “Aquaculture has an important role to play in feeding a growing population. The industry will need to keep innovating and attracting talented people who can help solve complex challenges.”
Over the next year, he hopes to strengthen learning and knowledge sharing across the organisation. “There is a huge amount of expertise within Pure Salmon Technology, and helping people learn from each other more effectively is something I’m passionate about.”
