Learning through every project
For Estefanie, joining Pure Salmon Technology was an opportunity to become part of an international company working with innovative technologies and specialist expertise.
As a Mechanical Engineer with experience from aquaculture, oil and gas, and mining projects, she was attracted by the chance to contribute to forward-thinking projects while learning from colleagues with different backgrounds. “I was attracted to Pure Salmon Technology because it is an international company working with innovative technologies and specialist knowledge. I saw it as a great opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team, learn from different people and contribute to environmentally friendly projects.”
One of the things she enjoys most about her role is the opportunity to follow projects from concept to completion. “I am constantly learning something new. I enjoy being involved in different phases of the project, from design and construction through to seeing the fish in operation. I also value working closely with different teams and seeing our ideas become real, practical solutions built on site.”
Looking ahead, she believes aquaculture has an important role to play in producing food more sustainably. “The main opportunity is to continue developing more sustainable technologies and practices, while the challenge is to do this responsibly as the industry grows.” Over the next year, she hopes to contribute to developing better standards and tools that make future projects more efficient. “I would like to help develop standards that make future projects easier to deliver, with more organised tools to track progress and help the team work more efficiently.”
